Some websites are easy for skills, and some fight back. Before you build a skill for a site, you can check how skills are doing there. When a site does not work for you, you can ask us to fix it, and we email you when it is. Why a single run failed, and what Valendata repairs on its own, is on Keeping skills working. This page is about the site as a whole.

Proven sites

A site is proven when at least one skill on it keeps working: over the last 30 days it worked at least 3 times, and at least half of its runs worked. Other skills on the same site don’t count against it. A skill built wrong says nothing about the site. Runs that failed on our side (a proxy outage, a bug; those are refunded) or because the run was cancelled or given bad inputs don’t count either. A site drops off the list only when its skills really stop working, and comes back when they work again. The list of proven sites is public at valendata.com/sites. Each one shows its working skills, their success rate, and their runs in the last 30 days. From code, call List proven sites. No key is needed for either.

Check one site

Search the site at valendata.com/sites, or call Get a site with its domain or any address on it. You get one of three answers: A site is shown only when a skill on it is public in the marketplace or made by the Valendata team, or when at least 3 people use it. A site one person scrapes privately is never shown: it reads unproven, with the counts null.

Ask us to make a site work

When a run or a new skill fails on a site, choose Make this site work in the app. From code, call Create a site request.
  • One vote per person per site. Asking again for the same site does not add a second vote. If someone already asked, your vote joins theirs, and votes shows how many people want it.
  • You don’t have to describe the error. Pass the skill, run, or creation that failed, and we attach its failure details ourselves. Only your own are read.
  • You get an email when it is fixed. Everyone who asked for that site is told.
See your requests and whether each is fixed with List your site requests. Changed your mind? Remove your vote.

Two MCP tools do the same: site_status checks a site, and request_site asks us to make it work. See MCP tools.
