Clone a skill
Copy a public marketplace skill, or one shared into your workspace, into your own skills.
cloned_from, the slug of the original. The copy has its own slug. Run it with that slug, for example with Run a skill and wait.
A skill you may not see answers 404.
You run a public skill only after you clone it, over the API and from an AI assistant. A run of the original returns 403 clone_required. See MCP tools for the assistant’s steps.
Needs skills:invoke or skills:write. A key with neither gets 403. MCP tool: clone_skill.

API key with the vd_sk_ prefix, as Authorization: Bearer vd_sk_.... Create keys in Settings → API Keys.
Headers
Any unique string (such as your order id). Resending the same request with the same key within 24 hours returns the first answer (with Idempotent-Replayed: true) and does nothing twice; the same key with a different request is a 422 idempotency_key_reused.

Lifetime aggregates kept on the skill row (updated by every terminal run), plus the rolling window over the last 20 runs (app/published_skills/reliability.py).
